Solid Silicone Products Manufacturing Process
Solid silicone products are typically manufactured by placing a compounded rubber mixture (with added peroxide vulcanizing agents such as 2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane or Dicumyl peroxide) into high-temperature molds. The material is then vulcanized into solid form through the application of pressure by hydraulic presses and heat curing.
